Keep Your Leaves!
Genesis 12:8 ASV, Psalm 1:1 ASV, Psalm 1:2 ASV and Psalm 1:3 ASV
I read this scripture and heard the Lord whisper this in my heart: “Child, your life should be all about Dependence unto Me as you continually find a fixed position in the center of My Presence, My Word and My Grace! I want to be Lord of Your All and Everything. You should be chewing and digesting the Word all day as you Work, Play and Rest in Me.”I realized this morning as I read this scripture, I am compartmentalizing God’s Life in me! God’s Word, His Life, His Son, His Holy Spirit must become a part of my all and everything! Sometimes as Christians, we compartmentalize our relationship with Jesus! Okay now! Admit it! He becomes a part of our schedule, we schedule Him into our lives! As I read this scripture I realize that God, Our Living Word wants to be more than that in and through our lives! His Word should be read in our mind, saturated in our souls and then become alive through the character of our heart; spirit-to spirit all day long as we act out His precepts, His life in our life, in our all and everything! I am so guilty of compartmentalizing my relationship with God, His Word, His Son and His Holy Spirit. How thankful I am that the heart of the gospel is change! Guilty as charged. I will change! If I am busy today, Lord may You be at the center of it, may your Word be alive in it and may daily schedule not be compartmentalized in Work, Worship, Service, Ministry, but be a whole life in Christ Jesus, a fruitful life in my all and everything! I do realize from this scripture that when I compartmentalize my life, then I am not dependent, not chewing the Word all day and all night and this independence will result in lost leaves and no fruit! I want my whole life to matter, to bear good fruit for God. Holy Spirit teach me to keep my leaves, to be a whole, complete fruitful life! Jesus, develop this discipline in me! I pray Holy Spirit that I might walk in a perfect harmony in You, in my all and everything! Jesus! FIRST! Three in One! Father, Son, Holy Spirit a three strand cord that is not easily broken. Triune God, wrap your life cord around my waist and keep me close to You in my all and everything. Help me keep my leaves and bear fruit! AMEN!
