Jesus presents to us a blueprint on how to build a well constructed life that will weather the storms. He warns us not to build on sand (assuming it is a solid surface) which if hardened will reveal its true consistency when the rain falls, the floods come, and the winds blow. Build your life on the ROCK through the consistent hearing and practicing of the Christ conforming, character transforming, mercy showing, and missional operating word!
