I am reading Captivating, and Stasi just talked about how Eve was created in the image of God. We were created in his likeness in our desire for relationship and intimacy.

He named him and spoke into his life... He will comfort us in the labor... The power of words amazes me. We can speak life or death into the lives of others. I think that God designed us for relationship and for impacting each others lives in order to demonstrate the closeness God wants to have with us. He wants us to know that he has plans for us. His Word speaks life into us. I need to be more careful in what I say- am I bringing forth life or death?

They were rejoicing in their own strength. Pride. God desires for us to find our strength in him. He is our refuge and our identity.
