Fight the good fight!
I love the way this Psalm reminds us that our God fights for US. He loves us so much that when he hears our cry for help in our distress that He OPENS THE HEAVENS and COMES DOWN to fight on our behalf (v.9) Reaching down from heaven to rescue us out of the deep waters (v.16)
But then I love too when, starting in verse 32 and on from there David talks about how God gives us that SAME strength and power to fight for OURSELVES, with HIS strength of course, but that we do not have spirit of fear...by his wounds we are healed and we can pick up our mats and WALK! Verse 37 says that we can, in full confidence, chase down our enemy, catch them, and not stop until they are CONQUERED!!! We are made in the image of our God...And the Lord is a Warrior!!!
