Psalm 119:10-16 ASV

I'm reading in a book that compiles scriptures to a thoughtful prayer when I come across a thought that the author interjects " I make my schedule around your Word. " And it stood out to me because I thought " Can I really make my Schedule around God's Word?" The answer is yes! My wife often tells me, when I have lame excuses for not having a living prayer life or times of devotion in the word, "You make time for whats important to you; Whats really in your heart." At these times this always rub my flesh the wrong way and I excuse it with countless reasons for not doing so.
But the reality is that it's not the quantity of the word thats the issue, it's the quality! So whether its 2 chapters from 3 different books or it's only 1 verse from 1 scriptue, let that draw you closer to your walk with God.The scriptures tell us of the importance of God's Word to our lives, it's life to our bones, water to our souls, renewal to our minds and the list goes on. The fact of the matter is that the Word is God's life link to us, when we have it in our hearts we can always meditate on it, always fall back on it for support, always look to it to help siolve problems, allow it to build us up and encourage us to make it through this day; If we will just let it! I'm convinced that God speaks to us, through leaders, friends, strangers, in our own minds, through the world around us, but most definetly through his word. Today let's hear God however he chooses to speak to us.
