On closer examination, Jesus subtly switches gears at verse 16. Where he was specifically addressing his immediate disciples, at verse 16 he begins to address all his followers throughout the coming age and the adversity we will face. Anyone serious about ministry should take this warning - and word of encouragement - seriously.
