Your Name is worthy to be praised.
Psalm 145:2 says, "Everyday I will bless You, and I will praise Your name forever and ever". (NASB) This similar sentence is found many times throughout scripture. Looking into how worthy God is and understanding how much we can never truly comprehend His worthiness, we can see here how beautiful this is. Since before creation, before He ever parted the Red Sea, before He sent His Son, and before He ever performed a single miracle and gave a single blessing, just His name was worthy to be praised. We could live 1,000 lifetimes and be saints and help people, start revivals, lead millions to Christ, and even discover world peace, and still nothing about us is worthy to be praised. However, God, just being who He is and before ever lifting a finger, even His name was worthy of praise.
Not giving God the honor and glory He rightfully deserves is a serious offense in God's eyes. This man, Herod, was not a man of God and after seeing the works of the Lord in many ways, still denied Him. Being eaten by worms is surely a painful and horrid death, but a question arises. Did God do this to Herod to simply punish him, or perhaps He caused this to happen as a public display of how serious He takes our pridefullness.
