Acts 12:21 ASV, Acts 12:22 ASV and Acts 12:23 ASV

Biblically, we as christians are called to praise God, Were called to praise when times are good and were called to praise when times are bad. We continually praise God because of who he is and in doing this we see more of God and less of ourselves. God, in this verse reveals that thier are consequences to glorifying ourselves. Praising God makes us more selfless and naturally allows to be more like Christ.
Acts 16:25 And at midnight Paul and Silas prayed, and sang praises unto God: and the prisoners heard them.
(26) And suddenly there was a great earthquake, so that the foundations of the prison were shaken: and immediately all the doors were opened, and every one’s bands were loosed
