A Mind To Work
In today's culture it seems that diligence, hard work, and discipline are becoming something of the past. Now, it is cooler to work less hours, have more free time, experience more entertainment. We want the easy life. This cannot be for the Christian, the one who loves God and follows Him. God has given us jobs to do. Some he has called to work in factories or the business world. Some he has called to be husbands or wives, fathers or mothers. Others he has called to be a missionary. Others he has called to be a pastor. I don't know what he has called you to, but I do know that he has called you to follow Him and to honor Him in all arenas of live. You will not be successful if you settle in and become a sluggard. Whatever you do, work at it with all your heart, as working for the Lord and not for men (Colossians 3:23). Work up a sweat! Work hard to honor God in every arena of life! Strive to do your job the way Jesus Christ would do your job!
