The people were all buzzing over this guy. His teaching was like no other, and I would assume it was because he went straight to their hearts and lives, and he did it with great confidence like he knew what he was talking about.

His parting words were all about challenging them over what are you going to do with what I just said? If you do something with them then you will be prepared to deal with the storms WHEN they come.

The big one may never happen if you live in California. A catagory 5 hurricane may never hit where you live on the coast, but what is for sure storms will hit our lives. We will all at the very least going to deal with our own mortality and those we are closest too. The measure of our ability to make it through such tough times will be dependent on how good of a foundation we have. Jesus says if we build on his words we will be able to endure and be at peace.

I've been in a good size Hurricane in a nice storm shelter. You could see the storm coming and see it rip everything arund to shreds, but we were at peace because we were in a fine shelter.
