The first thing that was threatened by this Gospel outbreak was the local economy. Why? Because the production of Artemis shrines was a racket. But whenever her followers were converted to Christ, this micro-industry was threatened. For years we have complained that our country worships the idol of materialism and greed. So what will suffer if God begins to free us from these shackles? The economy, of course. Should we worry or rejoice over this current financial crisis?
