"Herod died a horrible death with intense pain, he was literally eaten alive, from the inside out, by maggots or worms. And to be eaten by worms was considered to be the most disgraceful way to die. Pride is a serious sin, and in this case, God chose to punish it immediately."
You know, this really brings me back to the creation story. It reminds me how we, as humans, are truly created from dirt. And being eaten by worms kinda proves that point.
