John 21:7-8 ASV

Here we see Peter doing what Peter seems to do best - Be noticed. I'm not saying that in a negative way ... just an observation. He felt led to "cut loose" with Jesus, and did! He's seen cutting loose quite often -- from the time Jesus called him, up to this point, and beyond.

When was the last time that I "cut loose" for Jesus? that I did what most people wouldn't dare do? I think when I took it upon myself to find a retreat opportunity, to go alone to a place where I had never been, to worship the Lord with people I knew nothing about.

In my opinion you don't have to be the outgoing one in the group to be bold for God. I remember a couple of years ago I felt like I wasn't doing enough to tell others about Christ. That is, until I realized that I was the one who provided Bibles for free distribution in our chapel. And I kept ordering, and kept ordering. There was a reason why I kept ordering ... people kept taking the Bibles! I never kept track of how many we gave away, because I never thought to keep track. I'm guessing at least 500. I remember seeing one woman pick one up, and clutch it against her chest, like it was the most precious gift she ever received. Even though my part was not on the front lines of evangelism and witnessing, it was an important one.
