John 11:24-26 talks about how if we believe in Jesus we will live forever even though we die on earth.

On January 8th, 2009 I lost my mom to a very rare heart condition. I still have not come to grips with her death and am having a hard time accepting that she is gone...however this is a normal part of grieving. These words have helped me believe that one day I will see her again in heaven.

Revelation 21:4 gives us an account of what will not be in heaven. Mom is not crying or mourning a loss. She is happy, dancing and worshipping God.

The first thing I envisioned when I heard mom had died was Heaven's gates wide open and there were her parents, Auntie Evelyn, Grandma Kerr and Jesus welcoming her home with open arms. I know Jesus said to her "Well done my good and faithful servant!"

In time I will be able to understand why she died but right now I'm just a 28 year old daughter who wants her mom back. These verses give me hope though to believe that I will see her again.
