Reading about the crucifixion of Jesus is not fun. It hurts a lot to hear what he went through. I have heard the story so many times but it is still incredibly sad. To know that he was tortured when he was innocent. And he did it all for us. It makes me think about my life. As a Christian, I claim to have made a commitment to follow God's way in all aspects of my life. I fall short, everyone does. But how often do we fall short because we are afraid of what others will think, what they will do. We don't want to be rejected, mocked, abused. But read this passage, see what Jesus went through for us. Doesn't he deserve our obedience? What Jesus went through all in the name of God is so much worse than what we endure now. We owe it to Him to try our hardest to follow the path he has designed for us. Just think what would happen if Jesus didn't stick it out through the tough times. What would we be if he didn't endure the ridicule and torment. We wouldn't even have the freedom to chose to live for God. The crucifixion is a sad subject but it is a constant reminder to me of what Jesus did and how I should repay Him.

I'll never know how much it cost, to see my sin upon that cross.
