Perspective
"It was not you who sent me here, but God..."
I wish I knew what God was doing with my life when life isn’t going my way. I’m sure Joseph didn’t when he was sold into slavery, accused of something he didn’t do, thrown into prison and forgotten while he was there. The whole time he kept this great attitude. I get woken up at 5:30 a.m. by my little girl, and it has the potential to set me off for the rest of the day. I need a better perspective. According to human reasoning, Joseph had every reason to stay bitter and ticked off at his brothers. But instead he taps into God’s heart, gives them food and eventually brings them down to Egypt where they can get the best care available in the region. He even realizes that their actions were part of God’s grand plan for their provision. I need Joseph’s perspective, tapping into the heart of God for how I respond to life happening around me. I wonder where I’ll need this perspective even today…
