How important God views the family. God was the God of Isaac and now of his son Jacob. We've really forget to know what it is like that God is the God of our family. How often do Christians worship together as a family, pray beyond a meal together, read Scripture together?
The family was God's most power tool that he used for discipleship, evangelism, worship, ministry, and fellowship. Family has now been relegated to plan B in most of our churches. How much time does a church spend on developing families as a powerhouse for advancing the kingdom of God?
