Psalm 51 Cleansing of Sin
First I think it would stink to be David and have your dirty laundry out there for the last 3,000 years.
I think this really shows what it looks like to properly come before God in sin. He understands the wickedness of his sin. He feels it. He asks for forgiveness and for God to make him clean, to create a clean heart and to make his spirit loyal to God once again.
He doesn't go through the motions and he doesn't want just forgiveness. He wants God to restore him before Him. He wants change, and he truly wants it.
