I think Psalm 55 shows one of the reasons I treasure the Psalms so much. They are real and authentic. We get to see the pain and the anguish. We get to feel the hurt and betrayal. What's amazing is that these are the songs Israel sang. How does that compare to our 'Happy and you know it" fakeness" in our praise songs today. I think I love the Psalms because my soul connects with their transparency so well.
