DANG!
OK, seriously? Has anyone prayed a prayer like this recently?
This is the sort of thing that gets me confused with God. In the US, a song like this would get a Parental Advisory sticker on it. Yet, here it is included in Scripture. And Jesus says to turn the other cheek.... how do the two fit together?
Yet, perhaps I have (in so many words) prayed this prayer myself... and what we're hearing is David's raw emotion poured out in song. God allowed a dark moment to be captured for all of time for us to read and identify with... And looking at it that way, makes God a little more approachable.
