Exodus 9:27 ASV and Exodus 9:34 ASV

When our hearts have become hardened to God's will, we can remain extremely stubborn to what he wants to do in our lives. We often retreat into them like shelter in a cave. Hiding from God's calling and His righteousness. We may even become so proud that we would rather deal with all of the destruction that our selfishness causes then to just submit to the will of God, in our lives and in others around us! But aren't we just like Pharaoh at times? When our world is coming down, all around us, is when we decide to cry out to God to stop the destruction and save us. Then as soon as the storm clears and things seem to be "o.k." we almost immediatly return to our selfish ways and retreat to the shelther of our "harden hearts". We can not cry out to God just to relieve the calamity in our lives, but we have to let the Lord soften our hearts by trusting in Him and living in His will. Though it's hard to see everything in this world, that we've created and built up with this flesh, come crashing down around us; it's necessary for our freedom and for the Lord to do His good work in us. Let the Lord blow up the cave of a hardened heart and Place over you a shelter of light, protection and His loving goodness. Walk with God!
