A Compassionate Response
Jesus was actively involved in the lives of people. As he looked around he did not have pity for others, but compassion. Compassion is defined as: a feeling of deep sympathy and sorrow for another who is stricken by misfortune, accompanied by a strong desire to alleviate the suffering. As Jesus traveled from town to town he was engaged with the suffering of others because he saw their condition and chose to do all he could to re leave their suffering. His compassion led to action.
