stepping stones
2 things come to mind reading this chapter- first, don't judge. Second, choose not to be a stumbling block. There may be certain things in my life for which I do not feel condemned. BUt if another brother or sister does carry a deep conviction, then I put them first. Basically, my freedoms are never as important as the growth of someone else. Why? Because they're mine and I do not live for myself. I have the option to either be a stumbling block or a stepping stone in another's life. I can either trip someone up because I'm so bent on forcing my freedoms on everyone. Or I can selflessly lay them aside and choose to not major on the minors. If there is a new believer, someone young in the Lord and a behavior of mine is causing confusion for them thus being a deterrent to their growth- then it's just not worth it. I need to make it easier for them to get to Jesus (a stepping stone).
