People suffocate of crosses
Jesus' life was marked by suffering and resulted in glory. It was not beyond God's intention that we too would follow the same pattern. Jesus said take up your cross. People are stretched out on crosses, bruised on crosses, mocked on crosses, shamed on crosses, they suffocate on crosses, pain is excruciating on crosses and ultimately they're killed on crosses. Those jews knew this! Jesus is risky!
