Back To Bethel
Interesting. Jacob deceived Esau and fled to Bethel. Later, God changed his name. This time, the same thing happened. He family deceived the Hivites and he fled to Bethel where God reminded him of his name, Israel - the name he was given when he was terrified of Esau. It appears that Jacob didn't take his name-change seriously enough, signifying God's call to a new nature, a new way of living. No longer a deceiver. So God has called him back to Bethel - repentance and, ultimately, fruitfulness
