Remember Me
Joseph interprets the dream of Pharoah's chief butler and gives a request to the butler to remember him before Pharoah "when it shall be well with thee". It does go well for the butler but the butler neglects to fulfill the request and make mention of Joseph and his sufferings. Later, Moses and Aaron would lead the nation of Israel out of Egyptian captivity and God would ordain the Passover feast as a remembrance of that deliverance. The sacrament of the Lord's Table is ordained for a remembrance of the sufferings of the Lord Jesus Christ.
In the circumstances of our own lives, it is good to remember the Providences of God and his intervention for good in our lives.
