Here we are. This is the most overlooked and abused peice of scripture today. Christian men of this country will follow everything else to a T, but cannot find a way to look away from a hot girl. I have a boss who is a deacon at his church. I talk with him everyday on the telephone and everyday there is a comment about some girl who is walking near him while he is in his car. He refuses to believe that he is committing adultery and that evil is slowly infiltrating his heart.

I also have a father-in-law who would not accept this. A former deacon and active member of his church, struggled with pornography addiction for years but refused to tell anyone. One day, his oldest daughter (and my wife) found a video that he downloaded. She then told her mother who put the software on the computer. Long story short she later discovered that he spent 8 hours at a time gazing into the glow of the computer screen, and hundreds of pictures later...they are divorced. His children want nothing to do with him. He has not seen them in 1.5 years. Which do you think is more wrong, the adultery or the family?

Why don't we challenge ourselves men? Here we are at the breaking point of Christianity where scandals are continuously coming out about these great Evangelical leaders. Why don't we study these 4 verses and begin to take it literal. I mean, maybe you will not have to cut off your hand or poke out your own eye, but wouldn't that be better than losing your family?
