Exodus 14:12-13 ASV

Isn't this how we are as Christians sometimes? To afraid to leave the comforts of our captivity (the life we've grown accustom to) to follow God's Word and His will for our lives. We question God's power and athourity in our lives and in this world. Sometimes we think that just because there is trouble, or our enemy chasing us down, that it isn't woth following God. We sometimes think "I was better off (fill in the blank), than I am following God. I mean just look at everything that is going wrong, Would God have really freed me from "that" just to let my life get worse?" The truth is God wants us to trust Him every step of the way; in the Good times and in the Extremely Bad Times. Be patient with the journey that He is leading; vs. 13 "Don't be afraid. Stand firm and watch God do His work of salvation for you today." Every "Day" God is doing a work of His salvation in us. The key is to "shut up and let Him do it"! (vs. 14). Don't ever look back at the life (of selfishness) God has rescued you from and think for a moment that it would be better than the life (for His Glory) that He is walking you into!
