As I read through this list of ifs, ands, and buts I keep thinking to myself, how would anyone EVER be able to remember these, let alone actually follow through on the covenant to keep them. Makes me even more thankful for Jesus... not that the plan laid out in the Sermon on the Mount is any easier, but Jesus is casting such vision there. This feels like a laundry list being read by Ben Stein in Ferris Bueller's Day Off.
