The Lord laments here that people have begun to dilute and counterfiet the things of value that He has graceously provided. The driving force of capitalism is to chase after things of true intrinsic value, of course for the Christian this means that Jesus Christ is of highest value, however God has also provided a way for us to live honestly using the earthly riches he has provided.
