Romans 5:1 ASV, Romans 5:2 ASV and Romans 5:3-5 ASV

Matt Stone, my former college pastor, wanted me to read this passage when I explained to him my company had just gone through layoffs. I had been feeling a bit guilty because three other designers were let go, but I had considered them better talent than myself. I felt bad for staying and watching them leave.

Later that night, I had a Bible study and walked away reminded that God is good. He will show me how to remain a servant towards others. *I pray I may always be observant*

So anyway, Matt emailed me and told me to read Romans 5:1-5. And it was quite a perfect fit for my day yesterday. I had the blessing of going through tribulation, patience, experience, and hope, all in the matter of 16 hours. I showed up to work, layoffs began seemignly out of nowhere, I had decreased hope as I felt bad for my friends and coworkers who were laid off, I determined that God would show me what my next steps were and that I should wait for Him, I finished my day and spent most of it eagerly awaiting my Bible study, and left the study with an insane amount of renewed hope.

God is good. And He has sent His Spirit to reside in me and carry me forward.
