How completely hypocritical. We're going to kill Him but not during the feast- that would be bad for our image. It's so sad how threatened these guys were of the amazing work Jesus was doing. To the point that it caused them to grow so hard and caloused that murder actually became their agenda. And to be so unaware of your own deceptive motives- that by picking a better time of year to commit this sin would be a bit more palpable for the people.
