The Church
Here we see the Church beginning to form. These 3,000 believers that came to witness the apostles speaking in tongues begin to fellowship. They devote their time, energy, and money to God alone. They sell everything they own and shared the money with people in need. They met in homes! It is unfortunate that we have forgotten how to fellowship outside of the home, and must have a facility with a pulpit. The key is verse 47: "all while praising God and enjoying the goodwill of all the people." From there, the Lord brought more believers in salvation. We as believers must understand that this was not a group, but a community.
