God is in control
With all that is going on in the world it's easy to point at the big evil "them" and rant and fear about your rights being taken away. How quickly we forget that God is always on His throne. Considering his mighty power should consume all of our fear, leaving none left for the world. The conspiracies and plans of men shouldn't phase us in light of our Holy God! So don't get caught up in the hype, it will just cause you to lose focus. Stay focused on Jesus Christ, the world will constantly throw scary scenarios at us to make us look away, don't do it. Let our Holy God continually consume our thoughts!
Letting our fear be consumed by God creates a sanctuary for us. But it requires you to trust him completely, and not doubt. Doubting God is fearing that he is not who he says he is, when we do this we end up putting checks and balances on God in the form of rituals, traditions, and man made superstitions. God cannot be checked or balanced. This doubt is a fear that feeds an idolic worship of self over God. Have faith, let your fear be COMPLETELY consumed by our mighty God, do not fall into the trap of self righteousness as the Jews did.
