God's law is higher
We are called to obey the laws of our land, but we should always remember that God's law is higher. It blatantly says there "We must obey God rather than men!..."
In Toronto, Canada it is illegal to give food to homeless people. I plan to anyway. Mind you I could get around it by giving them a gift card for some restaurant, but I am speaking of the principles of it. Jesus said that whenever we give to the needy or feed the hungry or cloth the naked that we do this for Him as well.
When the day finally comes when we will no longer be permitted to openly follow and worship God by the laws of our country, we must remember that God's law is higher.
