Notes from Chapter 10
1 Samuel 10:3 ASV, 1 Samuel 10:9 ASV and 1 Samuel 10:19 ASV
vv. 3-6. Samuel gives Saul such amazing detail as to what will happen. In V. 9 - "all these signs were fulfilled that day"Surely God selects/allows our leaders
V. 27 It was pretty clear that Saul was "the chosen one" to be king of Israel, but others still doubted and opposed him.
I wonder if the same people who "rejected your God" in V 19 are the same ones who despised the new king in v 27?
Am I so quick to pass judgement on someone that I miss what God might be doing in them and in me?
At THIS point in the story - It SEEMS like Saul is kind of along for the ride. He seems humble and yet he goes along with what Samuel and others are saying about him.
