Giving stuff, not our lives
This part cracked me up after seeing how sinful these people were. It just reminds me of people of our day as well. It is so much easier to give stuff, even money than to really sacrifice ourselves to God. Giving stuff is a concrete concept. Giving our lives is not quite as simple. If only we could learn to pour out our lives to God as easily as it is to give stuff.
