Scripture makes it clear tat we are to honor and obey and pray for the authorities over us - that no authority is there without the appointment of God.
Here, however, note two points:
1. The importance of doing what is commanded of us.
2. While not following the examples of those in authority when there actions are not in accordance with the Word.
