Antithesis, not unfortunate
Galatians 1:1-24
S: "But when it pleased God, who separated me from my mother’s womb, and called me by his grace, To reveal his Son in me" (Galatians 1:15, 16A).
O: Paul's vindication of his call and Gospel is that he would assert anyone who preached a different Gospel than the true one should be damned. His call, he says, was from his mother's womb, by God's grace, and to reveal Jesus through him. It's a strong statement about the purity of the message he preaches and the authenticity of his office.
A: We should all be so zealous for the truth. Legalism is not a "shame" - it is a false Gospel. It's not burden, it's poison, the antithesis of the True Gospel.
P: Father, it's a recalibration of my thinking to the truth of your word. Help me be clear and concise in expressing your truth, uncompromising of your message.
