1 Corinthians 1:10 ASV

Wouldn't that be something if we actually walked this out? Agreement. Unity. No divisions amongst us. I almost want to faithlessly roll my eyes and say, "Yeah right." While this obviously stirs up unsightly visuals of the condition of the church as a whole- all of the divisions that exist amongst denominations, seperate churches, etc., it also speaks to the divisions we allow in our friendships. It's just so easy to let the little things come in and cause division, especially woth people we've established a familiarity with. Backbiting, jealousy, offense, unforgiveness. We've depreciated the harm these things can do. And when we don't take that seriously, division comes in and destroys. God's design is unity. It would be ideal if we all agreed on everything (concious, intended eyeroll), but because chances are good that we can't, we should still seek unity. When it's all said and done, Christ died for us. If that doesn't unite us, nothing will.
