It's interesting to me how these two people groups were looking to relate to God in such different ways. Jews, with their many rituals sought a sign. Greeks with their increasing intellect sought wisdom. Neither are bad but neither contain the answer. Seems as if nothing has changed. There are still people that can't be convinced that Jesus is the answer because logically, it makes no sense. What He did makes no sense. And there are others who are constantly seeking a sign to prove what they believe is the real deal. Neither require faith and yet this is the only way to please God and "find" Jesus. Belief in something that you can't always explain and that you can't see, well, that makes no sense. Faith is required.
