It seems like Christians are always making ourselves feel better about our efforts by keeping tab of "salvations." Nothing wrong with getting a count but what exactly are we counting? God never asked us to make converts- we are to make disciples. When I read this, I think about having fruit that remains. Fruit that can stand getting tested, tried by fire, going through struggle and testing. I want all the things in my life to be fruit that remians but man, I want the people God sends my way to not stop growing the instant they pray a prayer. I hope we begin to disciple, to lead others in following Christ closely and steadily. Yeah, our big numbers might be less impressive (to who?) but they'll count.
