This verse always brings to mind something that I have always found quite hilarious. Ever heard people say "Don't cuss, we're in church." Like it would make a big difference if they were in the parking lot, or the car or at home. But this is sadly the state of many Christians. There isn't an awareness that WE are the temple of God. We house Jesus. He lives in us which means His presence is always there. He doesn't pop in when we have an "Oh yeah Jesus!" moment and remember Him. He never left. If the only time we spend time with Him, pursue His presence, interact with Him and acknowledge Him is in church then we are missing the point of relationship. We miss what it is to follow Christ. To house Jesus. He lives in us and is present for every decision- each is an opportunity to worship Him, not just during a worship set. If only more Christians walked with an awareness that we are the temple fo the Holy Spirit. Help me God, to always remember your presence. Not in a "don't wanna get caught messing up" sort of way but in a worshipful way. Where every choice of my day is a chance I have to bring you worship.
