This breaks my heart. I recently saw something on tv that completely grieved me. A former pastor struggling with sin announced to the world that he was disgruntled with the church. He aired out his grievances and probably received a lot of sympathy from those on the outside. But I just felt sick. I hate how we've destroyed our own credibility as the church by doing things like this. We look no different than the world yet we're supposed to be. We let outsiders hear our complaints, justify our offense and join us in bitterness. Probelm is- theirs becomes a case against the entire church. The world needs to see a difference in us. Our behavior, our response to situations, our converstaions and friendships, our lives must look- not just look- BE different. THAT will give 'em something to talk about.
