The longevity of men in Genesis is very interesting. The Sun, Moon, and Stars were given to mark days and years, so we can be certain the years these men lived were the same as the years we live today, but something allowed them much longer life-spans. Perhaps it was genetic. As we will see, following the genetic bottleneck of the flood lifespans begin to decline quickly until we see what we would consider today as "normal."
