This reads like David's superhero code of conduct. "With great power comes great responsibility" may not be in the Bible, but in my opinion, Ben Parker's words of wisdom to Peter/Spiderman would have been jotted down by David had he heard them.

I think most preachers focus on the negative here. I will not... I will reject... I will refuse...
But the real power to be a superhero comes from the positive action taken in v1-2.
