The Light of Eternity
God is reminding us that we are only here because he allowed us to be here. all the things that WE want to do with our life are meaningless in the light of eternity. God has a plan, a perfect plan, and the timeline is eternity, the deadline is eternity, and our God won't miss that.
so with the 70, 80, maybe even 90 years that we have on this earth, the way that they will be the best spent is by doing the will of God. The will of God is perfect . . . perfect for us, and for everyone around us. If we can make ourselves less and make Him more by spending our time focusing on his will for our lives rather than our will for our lives, then we can make a difference in the world and change things for God, through God.
God, i thank you for giving me a perspective of eternity. that in 100 years, i probably won't be remembered by a lot of people, but the fact that i carried out your will for my life when i was here on earth will have an eternal impact. in Jesus name. Amen
