I noticed a comparison going here between the psalmist and the Lord.
v. 3 and v. 12 go together -- the psalmist's days are like smoke, but the Lord is enthroned forever.
v. 4 and v. 13 go together -- The psalmist is struck down, the Lord arises.
v. 5 and v. 14 go together -- Bones cling to flesh compared with stones and dust being held dear and cherished.
v. 8 and v. 15 go together -- Enemies taunt the psalmist. Nations fear the Lord. Interesting to note that the nations are not called enemies, even though they are.
v. 10 and v. 16 go together -- the psalmist is taken up and thrown down as compared to building up Zion..
