Psalm 1:1 ASV, Psalm 1:2 ASV and Psalm 1:3-6 ASV

This passage is so encouraging. Those who love their lives delighting in the Lord will prosper. Not like the wackos on tv believe about getting rich and having everything you want, but prospering in the Lord. He will protect those who delight in the Lord.
Look at your life and think hard about what you focus on. Where is your delight? Is it in the law of the Lord or is it somewhere else? Do you focus more on Godly things or on earthly things? Who are you aiming to please...God or man? Those who chose to follow and seek after God will be rewarded with life as a tree that yields fruit. BUT the wicked will not stand and they will be blown around with the wind.
Make a commitment today to follow God. In the times when it seems like no one else is making an effort, do not give in!!! Here on earth, when we are focusing on earth the price of following God may not seem worth it when we feel like we are doing it alone, but keep your eye on God, measure up to his standards, do not follow anyone else. This world can be so easily swayed by popularity or even simplicity and the desire to relax. We must be on our guard and we must trust that God will show us what is right and what is wrong and act on those things.
God give us strength for this new day. Help us to seek after you with all of our hearts. Help me especially to begin to follow you in a new way. Help me to delight in you and to delight in your law. Amen.
