Growing up in church I have heard this verse over and over again. I have seen it on Bible covers, t-shirts, bumper stickers and as framed art for my home. But today and in this season of my life it means so much more. As I read through all of Psalm 119 (who we really don’t know who wrote this particular passage) the writer is in love with God’s Word. He loves and renews his mind so much in the Word that he hates every wrong path. This is such a great reminder for me to saturate my mind in His Word to the point where wrong choices and paths become so clear to me as to why choosing that decision against the backdrop of God’s laws would be ridiculous. The author believed in God’s Word so much that his very daily walk with God was lit by His Word and refused to take any other wrong path. May this continually be my goal as I grow in the Word of God. Thank you Lord for your Word.
